For all the foodies out there, this is the ultimate list of food festivals in Southeast Asian countries to try. From relishing street preparations to gourmet cuisines, these fests are points where food aficionados from all over the world taste the traditional, as well as, contemporary delights. 



1.    New Year:

 
The entire Southeast Asian region turns into a colorful destination. The streets and the restaurants bring out their best preparations during the New Year. The natives and the tourist flock in the streets and the cuisines to give their palate the best treat by enjoying lip-smacking foods. The celebration takes place in every country in this region. 2.    Chinese New Year:

3.    National Street Food Festival in Delhi, India:

 
The food festival is organized by national Associations of Street Vendors in India (NASVI). Almost every iconic street food vendors from all over India gather in the same spot and offer relishing preparations that you can enjoy at a shoe-string price. This festival is held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

4.    Pahiyas Festival:




Every year in the month of May, Lucban, a Philippine town is adorned in colors of vegetables and harvest. The local farmers thank the Saint Isidro de Labrador for the current year’s yield. The natives decorate the neighborhood with the colorful harvests and enter into a competition. Fresh fruits, vegetables, loganiza (local sausage) and kiping (steamed and dyed rice flour mixture) are hanged all over the places. Tourists from all over the world visit this town during the festive times and enjoy the local cuisines made from the fresh yields.

5.    Savour in Singapore:



 
The previous year, almost 18000 food aficionados participated in this food fest held in Singapore. Savour is the name of the food fest where cuisines from every corner of the world meet and offer the signature food preparations to the admirers. Most of the chefs belong from celebrity cuisines, restaurants, and hotels that prove their class with their eminent recipes.

6.    Thai Pongal in Sri Lanka:



 
The Tamil food festival organized to celebrate good harvest every year in Sri Lanka, India, South Africa and some other parts of Southeast Asia is called as Thai Pongal. The festival is held for four days. The second day is witnessed with various events and the families celebrate the advent of solstice by preparing mouth-watering dishes. The streets and cuisines also light up with traditional preparations for the food lovers who like to taste new recipes.
